Safe Outdoor Venues Discussion

The Vermont Recreation & Parks Association (VRPA) and the Vermont Arts Council have teamed up with several artists to organize a Zoom meeting on January 21st to discuss the ongoing challenges the Covid-19 pandemic has created, as well as to discuss safe outdoor venues for the summer 2021 season.

Our goals for this meeting is to bring together artists & performers from around the region to provide introductions and discuss the following topics:

• Safe Outdoor Venue
• How artists & host facilities are thinking about adapting spring/summer/fall plans for COVID realities
• discuss what kind of help artists/creative people have wanted and not yet gotten (in the way of facilitating their work being out in the public)
• Brainstorm how artists may more easily stay in touch with town Parks & Recreation departments, as well as state park facilities (or other entities such as fairgrounds) to hold productive and possibly economically boosting events
• VT State guidelines for outdoor venues in 2021
