The National Recreation and Park Association's Playground Maintenance Course is a one-day (6.25 hour) educational course that provides participants with an understanding of basic playground hazards, applying safe maintenance practices on equipment, identifying surfacing types and proper maintenance procedures, and establishing proper record keeping practices. Participants receive a certificate upon completion of the Playground Maintenance Course.
Professionals who should take the course include maintenance staff, recreation staff, university seniors and any individuals who are responsible for playgrounds.
Study Materials: At the first day of the course each participant will be given materials that are yours to keep after the completion of the course. Studying prior to the course is not required.
CEU Credits: You may obtain 0.6 CEU Credits through the VRPA for participation and completion of this course. After the completion of the course participants must get their CEU form signed and keep for your records.
